Winter holiday is coming.I plan to go travelling with my family.My parents want to go to Haikou but I think Harbin is better.

There are two ways to go to Harbin,plane and train.But if you want to go to Haikou,you can only go by plane.It's bad because I don't like going by plane.

It's cold and snowy in Harbin.It's colder than Haikou.You can go skating,go to Harbin Ice and Snow World in Harbin.But in Haikou,you can only play beach volleyball,swim,go to the Tropical Ocean World of Haikou.It's more boring.And in Harbin,you can eat Harbin Beer,Butcher food,Russian bread and so on.It's more delicious than Haikou's sea food.

All in all,Harbin is a great city to go travelling.

Iwas born and grow up in the south where is not too cold in winter and I hadnever had a chance to see, snow. Happily, I made a trip Harbin this winter and Ifinally enjoy the snowing. One of my aunt lives in Harbin and she invited me tovisit her. I stayed at her home for almost ten days. It snowed two times when Iwas there.

One day, the weather report said that there would be a snow in thenext day. Since then, I expected it so much. Next morning, when I woke up andlooked out the window, I saw the outside become white.

It was so beautiful. I wentout immediately after I had my breakfast. The snow was on everywhere, thestreet, the car, the tree and the roof. I was excited to walk on the snow,leaving my footprints. Besides, I also went to see the ice engraving.

They wereall made by ice and were made into various figures, such as castles, cartoons,animals and so on. When the colorful lights turned on at night, it was anotheramazing image. It seemed in the fairy tale. How wonderful the visit to Harbinwas!

Harbin is a sub-provincial city and the capital of the Heilongjiang Province in Northeast China. It lies on the southern bank of the Songhua River. Harbin is the tenth largest city in China （pop. 9.87 million)， serving as a key political, economic, scientific, cultural and communications hub in Northeastern China. Now ，i mainly focuses on two aspects,architecture and culture. Harbin is considered one of China's most beautiful cities. The city is well-known for its unique, Russian and European-influenced architecture. Zhong Yang Street (Central Street, also known as Kitaiskaya St.）， one of the main business streets in Harbin, is a perfect remnant of the bustling international business activities at the turn of the 20th century. The long street is a veritable museum of European architectural styles: Baroque and Byzantine faades, The Russian Orthodox church, Saint Sophia Cathedral, is also located in this central district of Daoli. St. Sophia took nine years to build and was completed in 1932. It has now been made into a museum as a showcase of the multi-cultural architecture of Harbin.

Harbin today is still very much influenced by its Russian past.The local cuisine in Harbin is also Russian-influenced.
